IONM Technician (CNIM) - Atlanta VA Health Care System

Decatur, GA
Full Time
Paid
  • Responsibilities

    Why This Role

$200/hour. That is the rate. No tiers, no qualification ladder, no waiting for a bump. CLFC pays $200/hour because this contract demands a CNIM who owns a Cadwell system, delivers independently in the OR, and is available on short notice across a multi-year federal engagement. Five ordering periods through April 2031 give you contracted VA case flow with full clinical autonomy and direct surgeon communication.

On top of the hourly rate, case minimums protect your time on short or cancelled cases, and standby pay compensates on-call days when no case materializes. The Atlanta VA surgical mix includes orthopedic, spinal, ENT, and neurosurgical procedures.

    Compensation

Hourly Rate: $200/hour (1099 Independent Contractor)

One rate. No tiers. This rate covers your professional time, Cadwell equipment use, consumables, and all overhead.

Case Minimums (paid regardless of actual case duration):

    • Weekday Case (Mon-Thu, regular OR hours): 3-hour minimum ($600)
    • Call-In / Off-Hours Case (evenings, weekends, holidays): 4-hour minimum ($800)

Standby Pay: $125/day when designated as primary on-call and no case is worked

    Cancellation Protection:

    • Cancel after arrival on-site: full applicable case minimum
    • Cancel after 5:00 PM prior business day: 2 hours ($400)
    • Cancel earlier: no fee

Estimated Annual: 175 billable hours at $200/hr = $35,000 base, plus standby, case minimums, and cancellation protections

    Critical Requirement: Contractor-Furnished Cadwell Equipment

This position requires the technician to provide their own Cadwell neuromonitoring system:
