Reporting to the COO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring legal compliance, managing risks, and facilitating real estate transactions. Support & Benefits • Health Insurance • Tech support • Onboarding & training • Small company culture • Fun offsites for Town Halls (indoor range, golf, axe throwing, laser tag, etc.) Core ValuesAuthenticity: Be someone who tells me what I need to hear, not what I want to hear ... don't blow smoke • Accountability: Be a person who takes extreme responsibility • Excellence: Be a person who inspires others to Think, Learn & Act Responsibilities: • Consider all legal aspects of clients’ circumstances and desired outcome to provide sound legal advice to them • Represent client at real estate closings, in real estate disputes, and real estate litigation • Facilitate transfer of title between borrowers, real estate agents, and title company, and negotiate terms and conditions for real estate transactions • Draw up and review purchase and property management agreements, contracts, title abstracts, summaries, and commitments, probate and trust documents, leases, and financing statements, as appropriate • Manage paralegals, clerks, and other assistants • Research real estate situations presented to the IPS Cash team and make recommendations to leadership based on real estate law • Support the transaction coordination team in legal matters • Facilitate closings for company properties • Develop strong business relationships with other closing attorneys and title companies • Help to develop and implement improvement strategies with the goal of maximizing revenue. • Attend court on our behalf Qualifications: • Be a member of your local bar association and hold a current law license in the state • Up to date knowledge of property management, business law, title insurance, land use, and residential and commercial real estate law, including litigation • Superb negotiation, networking, research, and communication skills are needed • Completion of accredited law school with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree is required • Three years of experience as corporate counsel for a real estate development firm, as a transactional attorney, or residential or commercial real estate attorney • Strong negotiation skills; ability to effectively resolve complex issues and conflicts in relation to agreement and contract compliance • Attention to detail in the preparation and review of contracts and supporting documents • Strong legal drafting skills • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively • Very socially-focused, able to work in a team environment • The capacity to efficiently prioritize responsibilities and duties, enabling the completion of multiple tasks within designated time frames, even in a fast-paced setting • Live our core values of authenticity, extreme ownership and excellence • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and can travel by car • Should be open to continuous learning • This position is located in Nashua, NH, and is not work from home position Compensation: $80,000+
