    Position Summary/Overview

    We are currently seeking an Audio / Visual Senior Technician to head our installation department. The right candidate will have a combination of proven leadership, a passion for technology, and a can-do attitude. Candidates should have a strong background in residential/commercial systems installation, programming, and service. They also need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to train and mentor technicians to achieve efficiency and educational goals. Successful candidates will be responsible for working on all project phases, while leading the installation team. The candidate should be familiar with residential/commercial construction techniques and be confident in retrofitting systems to existing structures. They also will be responsible for maintaining the service que, along with performing service calls or maintenance visits to client locations.

    Job description, daily duties

    · The A/V Senior Technician will organize and lead technicians through each project, ensuring compliance with company processes and industry standards.

    · Assist in sales engineering and project management.

    · Create project drawings detailing wire pulls, equipment locations and rack layouts.

    · Conduct weekly project planning and technician meetings.

    · Configure and install residential wired/wireless networks.

    · Assist technicians during the prewire, trim-out and finish phases of projects.

    · Program and install automation, lighting, and surveillance systems.

    · Commission medium and large-scale projects prior to client training.

    · Provide technical support and service at client locations or through remote support channels.

    · Assist in developing and maintaining training cycles for technicians.

    Specific Requirements

    · A minimum of 5 years of experience in residential/commercial systems automation and lighting systems installation and programming

    · Experience in setup and configuration of MoIP, and multi-display video wall systems.

    · Exceptional understanding of signal flow, cabling practices, and proper termination standards for coaxial, category 6 and fiber optic cabling.

    · Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Visio, and Microsoft office products

    · Certified Control 4 Automation programmer

    · Lutron RRA 2/3, HomeWorks QS/QSX, Sivoya Shades

    · Advanced network design and installation experience

    · Experience designing and implementing new processes related to installation, service, and systems design.

    · Experience in scheduling and project management

    · A current valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

    Optional Requirements

    · Associate or bachelor’s degree in technology related field

    · CEDIA CIT/ITS certification

    · CompTIA Network +/ and or industry standard network certification

    · Control 4 Programmer II certification

    · HomeWorks Interactive/Illumination experience

    · Josh A.I. certification

    · D-tools SI/Cloud experience

    · Working with time tracking software
