Job Description:

Position Overview: As a Java Developer, you will be an integral part of our software development team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications. Your primary focus will be on RESTful API development using Jersey and Spring Boot, with opportunities to work on additional technologies.

Responsibilities:

1. Software Development:

   • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Jersey and Spring Boot.
   • Create and integrate software components that align with business requirements.

2. API Performance and Scalability:

   • Optimize API performance and scalability to handle large volumes of data and user traffic.

3. Code Quality and Best Practices:

   • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
   • Conduct code reviews and adhere to coding standards.

4. Database Integration:

   • Work with Oracle databases, including data modeling, SQL queries, and stored procedures.

5. Integration with Messaging Systems:

   • Collaborate on the integration of Kafka messaging for event-driven architectures.

6. Application Server Management:

   • Develop and maintain applications on WebSphere Application Server.

7. Problem Solving:

   • Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues, providing solutions and recommendations.

8. Collaboration:

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software products.
   • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Java Developer with a focus on RESTful API development.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Jersey, and Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices.
• Familiarity with Oracle databases and SQL.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging systems is a plus.
• Exposure to WebSphere Application Server is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
