Our client, a leading streaming provider, is seeking several Manual QA Testers to join their team. These testers will be working on ensuring that updates made to Java based Web Applications are correctly developed and deployed to ensure ads are delivered to customers.  In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our users enjoy the ultimate music experience when utilizing apps across various platforms. As a champion of quality engineering and testing, you will drive these activities throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). Your expertise in software testing will enable you to influence superior software design, advocate for best practices, devise effective testing strategies, and create and maintain test cases.

What you’ll do:

• Review project documentation as a basis for testing documentation and product understanding.
• Design, develop and execute test cases.
• Take initiatives with limited supervision under the guidance of the team Lead.
• Identify test cases with the appropriate coverage as candidates for the automated regression suite.
• Track and report testing efforts and status for visibility.
• Coordinate and execute End-to-End testing in our systems integrated Test environments.
• Works closely with QE analysts and software engineers in the development and execution of test cases as part of a full-lifecycle team.
• Helps to identify opportunities for risk-based testing and while maintaining quality levels.
• Collaborate and able to provide technical mentorship to other team members

What you’ll need:

• Strong manual testing skills; not seeking automation engineers, automation developers, DevOps engineers, or candidates with coding backgrounds. This is a pure manual testing position.
• Candidates with automation experience are acceptable, but primary skill must be manual testing.
  
• Quality Experience -- 3+ years of professional software QE experience involving consumer software application testing.
• Strong knowledge of Java web applications, microservices and web services architecture
• Experience working with Angular front ends
• Experience providing oversight and mentorship to QA team members.
• Troubleshooting skills - Ability to isolate & troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging software testing methodologies
• Understanding of test and reporting tools such as AWS logging, Charles proxy, Debookee, JIRA, HP ALM, Confluence, Adobe Target, SQL Server, SOAP UI and Putty. Experience with Swagger a plus.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Gherkin is a plus.
