Job Description

Our firm is offering a paid student internship on a part-time basis through the summer, possibly extending offer for each academic semester. Gain hands-on experience in accounting and tax by developing technical skills through working as part of a team carrying out tasks under close supervision. Responsibilities:

•  Assist with month-end financial reports
•  Post cash activity and data entry
•  Prepare journal entries for GAAP and tax basis entities
•  Help with balance sheet reconciliations, including bank statement reconciliation, supporting schedules and workpapers
•  Support payment processing team
•  Preparation of corporate, partnership and trust tax returns
•  Assembling and organizing clients’ information

Qualifications

• Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs required.
• Position will require a minimum 15 hours and a maximum of 30 hours per week.
• Junior or Senior level of accounting
• Minimum 3.2 GPA
