    iQuasar is looking to staff an immediate Secretary position with one of our U.S Federal Government customers in Auburn, AL to assist with purchasing, records management and correspondence, mail management and distribution, and other administrative services. This position has long-term potential & offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental, paid holidays, sick, vacation time and retirement benefits.     Hours: M - F | 7:30 am – 4:30 pm CT; 1-hour lunch

    Minimum Education: High School Graduate. Some College Preferred.

    Pay: Base: $19.95 /hr + H&W: $4.41/hr

    Job Qualification Requirements:

    Valid Driver's License and Authorization to work in the United States.

    The candidate shall have proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.

    Shall demonstrate the use of appropriate language to communicate ideas in words and print based on the audience and situation.

    Shall have not less than 4 years secretarial experience in a professional environment.

    Shall possess high-quality verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a professional demeanor.

    Travel Requirements: The Secretary III may be required to operate a Government Owned Vehicle (GOV) as part of the duties. Employee may occasionally be required to travel to work in other Alabama agency offices during the duty day, including, but not limited to, the Troy, Bessemer, Gadsden, Mobile, and Linden Alabama field offices. Overnight travel may be required but is expected to be infrequent.

    Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Provide clerical and secretarial support to the Programs Section and the Management & Strategy Section.

    Assist staff with preparing and processing documents and correspondence, checking documents for accuracy and completeness, gathering information, recording data, establishing and maintaining files, and transmitting the information.

    Assist with information gathering and transmittal related to audit requests, monthly reviews, and other quality assurance measures.

    Assist staff with travel arrangements such as research for hotel locations and costs.

    Purchasing support such as gathering pricing sheets and preparing AD-700 forms and obtaining funds approval.

    Typing bulletins, records management and correspondence, mail management and distribution, and other administrative services in support of Client programs and operations.

    Assist with preparing reports; answering inquiries, gathering data, and inputting information into databases and analytic tools.

    Receive telephone calls, greet and direct visitors, sign for incoming deliveries, and perform other responsibilities to maintain the routine operations of the office.

    Maintained files, manuals, handbooks, and reference libraries, both paper and electronic, in support of the local unit.

    Serve as a backup for other state office section’s secretaries during the absence.
