Job Title : IS & Cyber Security Tech – Intermediate (Vulnerability Management)
Location : Langley AFB, Hampton, VA
Clearance Required : Active DoD Secret Clearance

Position Overview :
We are seeking a IS & Cyber Security Tech – Intermediate (Vulnerability Management) with an active DoD Secret clearance to join our team at OSAAVA Services. This role will play a critical part in securing Air Force systems and information by managing vulnerability assessments, patching, endpoint protection, and ensuring compliance with IT security policies. Key Responsibilities :

• Vulnerability Management :
  Administer, operate, update, patch, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain vulnerability management systems and tools. Conduct vulnerability assessments using AF provided tools , ensuring security of the organization’s systems and assets.

• Scan & Reporting:
  Perform scanning, tracking, recording, and reporting of vulnerabilities using government tools. Upload scan results to the DISA Vulnerability Management System (VMS) or its successor on a monthly or as-needed basis. Work with Air Force Bases (AFB) to review and remediate vulnerabilities.

• Patch Management :
  Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot patches for servers, workstations, and infrastructure devices to ensure compliance with security standards.

• Endpoint Protection :
  Manage and secure Air Force End Point Protection System agents and endpoint products. Oversee endpoint protection operations to secure AF client systems and ensure adherence to security baselines.

• Security Compliance :
  Ensure compliance with approved security updates, patches, and network defense directives for all AFIN infrastructure and devices. Implement and track IT security policies and procedures.

Education and Experience :

• Education :
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience :
  2-4 years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management, cybersecurity, or related IT security roles.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Clearance :
  Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to maintain one). Clearance investigation must have occurred within the last 5.5 years.

• Certifications :
  Active, valid DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification (e.g., Security+ or higher-level certification). Must maintain currency of certification.

• Technical Expertise :
  Experience with vulnerability management tools and security compliance procedures. Familiarity with patch management processes, endpoint protection systems, and vulnerability scanning/reporting.

• Security Focus :
  Strong understanding of IT security policies, procedures , and compliance standards for government systems and networks.

• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time.

• Must have sufficient mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties efficiently.
• Due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.

Work Environment :
This is an office-based role with regular use of office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, and telephone. Work will be performed in a secure, government-focused environment, adhering to all appropriate security and safety protocols. Some network equipment installation/removal may be required.

Additional Requirements :

• Shift Flexibility : This is a 24/7/365 mission. The position will require flexibility to work mid-shifts, days, or swing shifts , and rotating shifts may be required depending on operational needs.
• Transportation : Reliable transportation to the work site is required.
• Travel : Occasional travel to customer locations may be required, including airline travel.
