    Job Description

    Regional Sales Specialist

     

    The Regional Sales Specialist is responsible for growing business within a 4-state region (Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky & Ohio) working under existing account managers directives. You will be responsible for developing, cultivating, qualifying leads and closing business.  Ideal candidate will reside in Indiana.

    In this role you will call directly on and visit customer sites in an array of industrial, commercial, and municipal markets, ranging from medium size to Fortune 1000 organizations. You will build strong relationships on the company's behalf, particularly with facility maintenance and safety personnel. This position will require 30% travel and some overnights in addition to prospecting, follow-up, lead generation and CRM updates from your home office.

    We measure impact by your successful ability to: ·        Initiate and develop strong business relationships within all levels of supply chain:  distribution, manufacturing partners & end-user customers

    ·        Develop and execute individual business development plans with account managers

    ·        Build a pipeline of quoted opportunities

    ·        Promptly act on leads, efficiently qualify, and conduct sales activities to drive sales

    ·        Travel to perform site surveys and customer consultations to determine needs and solutions, and obtain detailed information for estimates and proposals

    ·        Maintain CRM database for all prospect and customer activities

    ·        Collaborate with company personnel for development of programs, marketing content and sales materials

    ·        Represent the company at networking and tradeshow events

    ·        Troubleshoot sample and order issues

    ·        Conduct virtual selling opportunities (Zoom & Teams Meetings)

    ·        Keep account managers informed of all activity and assist in preparation of reports

    Requirements:  

    ·        Bachelor's degree with some sales experience preferred

    ·        Customer service and/or B2B sales experience helpful in manufacturing or distribution

    ·        Proficiency with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) CRM

    ·        Excellent written and oral communication skills

    ·        Knowledge of construction, industrial and/or safety processes helpful

    ·        Ability to quickly grasp OSHA and other corresponding regulation codes, and apply in customer dealings and product applications

    ·        Acceptable driving record

    ·        At customer sites the employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment including steel toe boots, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection
