- ISO 9001 Implementation: Lead and support the implementation of ISO 9001 standards across all levels of the organization. Develop and maintain QMS documentation including procedures, work instructions, and policies.
- Ensuring Quality and Safety Training: Ensure the Quality Department is properly trained on ISO 9001 standards, audit procedures, and safety practices
- Standardization and Documentation Skills: Ability to develop, implement, and enforce SOPs, aligning them with ISO 9001 standards for quality consistency
- Gap Analysis & Process Improvement: Conduct thorough assessments of current processes to identify gaps in compliance with ISO 9001 standards. Develop and implement corrective actions and process improvements to meet certification requirements.
- Internal Audits: Plan, schedule, and conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the QMS. Lead efforts to resolve any minor nonconformities resulting from audits. Ensure that non-conformities are properly documented, investigated, and resolved.
- Employee Training: Provide training and guidance to employees on ISO 9001 standards, quality management processes, and best practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Certification & Compliance: Coordinate the ISO 9001 certification process, liaising with external auditors, and ensuring the company meets all certification requirements. Maintain compliance with ISO standards post-certification, including managing recertification audits.
- Documentation & Reporting: Oversee the creation and management of documentation related to quality processes, audit reports, corrective actions, and training records. Ensure proper document control practices are followed.
- Supplier Management: Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure that suppliers meet ISO 9001 quality standards and help facilitate improvements in supplier quality management.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with engineering, production, procurement, sales, etc., and other departments to ensure that quality standards are integrated into daily operations and product development.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the company's broader continuous improvement efforts, including Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality-related initiatives. Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
- Clerical Steps: Draft and submit the ISO applicant contract.
