    IT Administrator - Join Our Core Technology Team

    Are you ready to be a key technology team member for a stable 300-employee organization? You'll manage and support all aspects of our local IT infrastructure across three dynamic manufacturing sites, ensuring our teams have the reliable, secure technology they need to excel.

    This position will provide direct support to our Sylva and Morganton, NC sites. Requires 60-80% onsite presence in Sylva and Morganton.

    What You'll Do

    Empower Our Technology Infrastructure:

    • You'll administer and manage Active Directory, taking ownership of user accounts, group policies, and organizational units that keep our business running smoothly
    • You'll configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, and network services, ensuring reliable connectivity for all our locations
    • You'll manage and troubleshoot our cutting-edge networking equipment including Cisco, Meraki, and Ubiquiti devices

    Drive System Excellence:

    • You'll administer our Windows Server environments, handling updates, security configurations, and backups with precision
    • You'll support and manage thin clients and virtual desktop solutions that enhance our workforce productivity
    • You'll configure and maintain VPN access using SonicWall firewalls, enabling secure remote work for our teams

    Be Our Technology Problem-Solver:

    • You'll provide expert user and system support for our IBM AS400 systems
    • You'll administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and Azure AD, keeping our collaboration tools optimized
    • You'll develop and utilize PowerShell scripts to automate processes and streamline system administration

    Protect and Secure Our Digital Assets:

    • You'll maintain and support Microsoft SQL Server databases, with opportunities to work with DB2 systems
    • You'll administer SentinelOne for endpoint protection, actively monitoring and responding to security threats
    • You'll manage Mimecast for comprehensive email security, archiving, and compliance

    Lead with Excellence:

    • You'll deliver exceptional daily desktop and end-user support, resolving issues efficiently while maintaining strong relationships with all users
    • You'll use our incident management system to track and resolve service tickets, consistently meeting SLAs
    • You'll maintain thorough system documentation and help shape our technology standards
    • You'll collaborate with corporate IT teams on exciting global initiatives and technology deployments

    What You Bring

    Education & Experience:

    • Associate or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
    • 3+ years of IT administration experience in diverse, multi-platform environments

    Essential Skills:

    • Proven expertise in Active Directory, Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, and PowerShell
    • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Azure AD integration
    • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, and Ubiquiti network devices
    • Proficiency in SonicWall VPN/firewall configuration and support
    • Working knowledge of IBM AS400 systems and terminal applications
    • Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration
    • Experience using SentinelOne for endpoint protection and incident response
    • Experience with Mimecast email security and compliance management
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
    • Experience with incident management/ticketing systems
    • Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset

    Certifications That Set You Apart:
