  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    This position coordinates all aspects of the company's information technology, in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    • Provide daily operations and support of company PC’s, Servers, applications, and the underlying infrastructure(local and wide area network )
    • Research, and implementation of new technologies
    • Supporting all company IT related requests
    • Administering server backup and disaster recovery plans
    • Administering the company’s Microsoft Servers
    • Administering the company VMware Servers
    • Provides Helpdesk support for local and remote locations
    • Provides technical and administrative support for all printers and faxes
    • Works directly with Vendor to order supplies and report on meter readings
    • Supports simple changes (Adds, Moves and Changes) to the Cisco Phone system, and physical equipment moves within the site
    • Supports personal computer installation, configuring and maintaining PC/Mac hardware and software for users
    • Troubleshoot problems involving LAN, personal computer systems, both hardware and software. Requires listening to users to identify problems, then making necessary corrections or assisting vendors to correct the problem.
    • Keeps IT inventories current
    • Remains abreast of rapidly changing hardware and software technologies
    • Provides training for end users on an as-needed basis. Requires understanding of computer systems to insure that all components will integrate properly.
    • Interfaces with internal groups, vendors, contractors and employees
    • Works within established policies on system use and services
    • Implements workstation upgrades
    • Interfaces with outside vendors i.e. ISP, AT&T, Mobile providers
    • Prepares justifications and recommendations for IT purchases
    • Creates documentation in support of the functions performed by this position
    • Works within typical office setting with little outside travel
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

    • Strong understanding of Microsoft servers
    • Ability to update server to newer/latest Microsoft Server releases
    • 3 or more years experience administering and supporting Windows desktops, servers and networks.
    • Experience with Microsoft Domain Services
    • Experience with Microsoft DNS, DHCP, SMTP.
    • Experience troubleshooting local and wide area Meraki (and Cisco) network problems.
    • Experience with VMware
    • Server, Network or Security Certifications a plus
