SUMMARY OF THE JOB The Information Technology Assistant supports and maintains in-house hardware, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all desktop hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The IT Assistant is also responsible for troubleshooting and end-user training and support when necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB Serve as the Bank’s “Help Desk”
Act as the first point of contact for technical assistance requests by phone, email, or in person;
Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues; Perform onsite and remote troubleshooting;
Assist with the deployment/upgrading of laptops, PCs, tablets, and other devices; and
Maintain accurate documentation and follow up and update requests with notes using the Track-It software;
Manage the Bank’s IT Assets
Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products; and
Maintain an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, printers, scanners, and other peripheral equipment.
In the performance of respective tasks and duties, the employee is expected to successfully perform quality work within deadlines with or without supervision, to interact professionally with other employees, customers and vendors; to work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments and to work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS
Attend bank meetings and serve on Bank committees as assigned;
Maintain proficiency with all technology for this position;
Participate in professional development and training;
Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all Farmers Bank policy and regulatory guidelines including: privacy and confidentiality, Human Resource policies, etc.; and
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Associate degree (or relevant experience) preferably in a computer science or technology field; and
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft hardware, printers, copiers and multi-function machines, networking principles and Microsoft operating systems required. Experience with Active Directory and Numara Track It software, preferred.
