    Job Description

Upon resumption of normal operations, this role may be performed at our Buffalo, New York office.

    As our Audit Manager, you’ll make sure our teams complete procedural changes and regulatory compliance upgrades that save HSBC time and money. You’ll tackle new audit projects and learn a wealth of knowledge associated with auditing a system you may know very little about. That’s why you’ll spend every day dialing into details while working with your team and auditees to understand the liabilities at hand. You’ll build trust in these interactions by challenging the status quo, streamlining recommendations, and developing relationships - it’s not just Excel sheets and models.

    Here’s what you can expect on a typical day:

    • Coordinate, supervise and participate in audits of compliance with prescribed internal controls governing technology processing environments. Develops audit programs and performs testing of IT controls within major data centers, supporting technologies, applications, networks, and selected development projects that replace or significantly enhance critical applications.

    • Assist in developing and refining annual audit plan, scheduling audits of data centers, local area networks, service bureaus, system software, applications and systems development projects.

    • Ensure identification of business process improvements for segments audited as appropriate, to enhance operational effectiveness, customer service quality and efficient use of Company resources.

    • Maintain skillsets on technical changes as well as pertinent internal and regulatory requirements. Communicate these changes within the department and ensure audit programs are revised accordingly.

    Requirements

    Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions

    • IT audit engagements within infrastructure, application, and projects.

    • Conducted audit examinations of data processing environments within financial services.

    • Participate in full audit process lifecycle from planning and controls through reporting conclusions.

    • Implementation of Regulatory framework in the financial services industry.

    • Technology operations/systems development experience.
