We’re seeking a Applications Business Analyst to join our IT team for the long term. This role is ideal for a self-starter and strong communicator who thrives in a small, collaborative team, works well across the business, and is eager to learn. The position offers broad exposure—from requirements gathering and solution delivery to application support and project leadership—with high visibility and meaningful impact in a stable, growing manufacturing environment.


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or equivalent combination of experience & education
    • 5+ years’ Business Analysis experience with business applications
      • Experience as the primary Business Analyst on projects involving significant change, working directly with business users
      • Experience working in an application development team, in a Scrum/Agile environment
      • Experience in eliciting, organizing and communicating requirements
      • Basic knowledge in generating process documentation
      • Experience building test plans and conducting user acceptance tests
      • Experience supporting production applications
      • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
    • Experience with basic SQL queries
    • Experience with QA/Testing
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
    • Experience in a mid-size manufacturer is highly preferred
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint, Power Automate/ Power Apps are a bonus

    Key Responsibilities

    • Partner with business stakeholders across functions to understand processes, identify needs, and gather functional and technical requirements
    • Analyze and document current-state and future-state business processes and workflows
    • Serve as the primary business analyst and business interface on application projects, including initiatives involving significant change
    • Collaborate closely with application development teams to design, configure, test, and deliver solutions
    • Translate business requirements into clear documentation, user stories, and work items
    • Build test plans, coordinate and execute user acceptance testing (UAT), and support defect resolution
    • Support and maintain production applications, including troubleshooting issues and coordinating fixes
    • Analyze application and business data to provide insights and support decision-making
    • Lead or contribute to application-related projects, including planning, execution, and delivery
    • Provide high-visibility application support and communicate effectively with users at all levels of the organization
    • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of application processes, designs, and team standards
    • Support and enhance ERP and business systems (e.g., Dynamics 365 or similar platforms)
    • Utilize work management and collaboration tools (e.g., DevOps, SharePoint, Power Platform) to manage requirements and tasks
    • Assist with user training, documentation, and change adoption activities
    • Participate in Agile/Scrum activities when applicable, supporting iterative delivery
    • Learn and support new applications and technologies as business needs evolve
    • Contribute to major strategic initiatives as well as smaller enhancements with direct business impact
