Job Title: IT Consultant - Engineering Application Development

Consultant tasks for Application Management/Maintenance may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Engineering Application Development
Design, development, enhancement and/or upgrade computer and document management applications to support the Engineering Department's business processes.
a. Complete application development life cycle including need assessment, requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
b. Full stack development including front-end, back-end web development, database development, hosting and deploying websites. The Engineering Department is Microsoft-centric application environment. Preferred software development environment is C#, .Net Framework, .Net Core, React and Redux, Node.js, Azure Cloud, and Microsoft SQL.
c. Architecture, develop, test and deploy workflow-enabled applications in low code/no code platforms, including but not limited to SharePoint Online/Office365, MS Power Platforms, OpenText Content Server, and eBuilder.
d. Integration of document repositories and workflows with MS SharePoint Online.
e. Integration between custom applications and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software. Design and development of reports and dashboards using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), MS Power BI and IBM Cognos Analytics.
f. Review technical and business specifications and develop project specific report solutions like:
g. Flexible reporting with detailed analysis and drill-down with relational and dimensional data
h. Ad-hoc report query capabilities
i. Alerts based on thresholds.
