Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Contract Specialist to join our team in Newark, NJ. This role will be primarily in-person, with the potential for a hybrid schedule in the future. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT contracting, particularly with experience working with agencies in New York, New Jersey, or the Port Authority. This is a dynamic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to support complex IT contract activities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage IT contracts including software licensing, hardware procurement, consulting services, and support agreements.
Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and applicable agency regulations (NY, NJ, Port Authority).
Serve as the point of contact for contract-related inquiries from internal departments and external partners.
Collaborate with IT, Legal, Finance, and Procurement teams to manage contract lifecycle and performance.
Track key deliverables, deadlines, and renewal/expiration dates.
Support audits and reporting requirements related to contract performance and compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5+ years of IT contract management experience , with a strong preference for candidates with prior experience working with NY or NJ state agencies or the Port Authority.
In-depth understanding of IT procurement practices, licensing models, and legal contract terminology.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
