IT Engineer Technical Support & Systems Administration)
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Engineer to join our Information Technology team. This role provides hands-on experience in technical support, systems maintenance, and IT infrastructure operations within a professional environment.
This position is ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field who want to gain real-world experience in IT support and systems administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, and IT equipment
- Support system upgrades, software patches, and security updates
- Maintain and update IT documentation, asset inventory, and configuration records
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and system issues
- Assist with cybersecurity initiatives , including access controls and data protection procedures
- Support data backup and recovery processes
- Participate in IT projects, system improvements, and process optimization initiatives
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or system administrators when needed
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Interest or foundational knowledge in cybersecurity principles (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
