IT Field Support Technician – Healthcare (Indianapolis or Chicago West Suburbs )

Our client is a long-established, physician-led healthcare organization with a large network of outpatient clinics across Illinois and Indiana. Its IT team is growing, and it is hiring two field support technicians: one covering clinics in the Chicago western suburbs and one covering Central Indiana.

This is a hands-on, on-the-road support role, not a call-center help desk. You’ll drive between clinic sites setting up and repairing laptops, desktops, phones, printers, and peripherals; troubleshooting Wi-Fi, switches, and internet connectivity; handling account setup for new hires and departures; and helping when sites open, relocate, or get new equipment. You’ll also take tickets by phone, email, and Teams and document your work. Early-career candidates and recent grads are welcome.

Location: Two openings: Indianapolis (covering clinics across Central Indiana) or Chicago western suburbs (covering clinics across Northern Illinois). 80–90% local travel; gas and mileage reimbursed.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday onsite at clinics, Friday remote. Occasional after-hours maintenance windows.

Compensation: $48,000–$55,000 base, plus a discretionary bonus and a 401(k) with profit sharing.

    Preferred qualifications

    • Hands-on IT support experience (help desk, desktop support, MSP, campus IT, retail tech support, or an internship)
    • Working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi)
    • Valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and comfort driving between sites most of the week
    • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certification (or currently studying for one)
    • Exposure to Active Directory/Entra ID, cloud-managed networking, Intune/MDM, or healthcare IT/EMR support
