    IT Help Desk Technician

    BRT Extrusions, located in Niles, OH, is looking for an experienced IT help desk technician to join our team. This position will be communicating with employees and customers at all levels, so we are looking for someone who can be professional and work in a fast-paced environment. This position will have a wide range of duties to support a manufacturing process for order entry to receivables in multi-state company. This position is an hourly non-exempt position with a general schedule of Monday through Friday -8am to 5pm

    Will generally work an 8am to 5pm shift Monday through Friday. Some emergency support after hours may be necessary.

    Duties of The IT Help Desk Technician

    Support IT manager in day to day helpdesk items

    Trouble shooting network, workstations and printers

    Manage workstation migration

    Design reports using Crystal Reports

    Requirements of The IT Help Desk Technician

    Must be 18 years of age.

    Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or equivalent help desk IT support experience (1+ year experience)

    Must be able to configure software and set up new workstations

    Must have ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing and to communicate with employees and other internal customers professionally and calmly

    Must be able to show a sense of urgency to complete and prioritize work and problem solve through customer or employee support requests.

    Must be able to prioritize tasks and support requests based on impact and business needs

    Must work schedule and maintain excellent attendance

    Will be flexible in taking on additional projects

    Knowledge of EPICS, Azure, Web development , SQL Server and Crystal reports preferred but not required

    Must be detail oriented and have great follow through and follow up skills

    Must be able to calmly handle multiple support requests at one time

    Must be able to trouble shoot in the areas of hardware and software issues

    Physical requirements of The IT Help Desk Technician

    This position requires the individual to work in an office/manufacturing environment. The temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold and the noise level is high in the factory area. An individual in this role will be able to walk, bend, stoop, frequently. They also must be able to sit for long periods of time, repeating the same movements. An individual in this role will remain stationary and move about the office or factory as needed per essential duties of the position. An individual in this role will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing, and this role requires individuals to read, follow and give written directions/procedures to employees with or without reasonable accommodations.
