IT Infrastructure Engineer
The IT Infrastructure Engineer plays a key role in supporting and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud environments, servers, and security systems. This role requires strong experience with Windows servers, Azure, Microsoft 365, Layer 2/3 networking, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage cloud-based and on-prem systems (Azure, Windows/Linux servers, backups, storage).
Build and maintain enterprise networks, including wired, wireless, and VPN systems.
Handle escalated technical issues and mentor other IT team members.
Perform root cause analysis across the network, storage, server, and application layers.
Ensure business continuity with backup and disaster recovery systems.
Improve system security, performance, and scalability using best practices and automation.
Work with vendors on system upgrades and new implementations.
Monitor and manage the availability and security of key business systems.
Qualifications:
5+ years in enterprise network/server administration (Windows, Azure).
3+ years working with hybrid Azure environments and cloud services.
Strong knowledge of networking (Cisco), virtualization (VMware), and cloud technologies.
Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, etc.).
Familiarity with SQL Server and Azure SQL.
