Position Summary / Essence of the Role:
The essence of the Project Coordinator role is to ensure the efficient, timely, and profitable execution of professional services projects. This is achieved by a deep knowledge of the runbiz project lifecycle, detailed resource planning and scheduling, and defending the original scope of the project. This frees the project engineers up to serve their primary responsibility of executing project plans. To achieve excellence in this role, the Project Coordinator, will need to be passionate about the responsibility of “keeping the trains running on time” and enjoy getting into the details thereof. Furthermore, they must be motivated by the understanding that efficient projects are of major significance in the pursuit of improving the quality of life for all service delivery areas by reducing reactive noise.
The project coordinator works closely with both the vCIO and Design Desk roles. They convert proposals and scopes of work (delivered by Design Desk) into actionable project plans for Project Engineers. They keep the vCIOs apprised of their respective customer’s project status. They manage the project backlog by keeping project engineers’ calendars full and up to date. They guard original scopes by monitoring hours and responding to out-of-scope requests with change orders. A successful Project Coordinator will do all these things while effectively managing customer’s and team members expectations.

Success in this role will be measured by the following:
Customers are enthusiastic about implementing new technology
Customers, vendors, and teammate expectations are managed, and they have a predictable experience every time we do project work
Project work is scheduled a rolling 2 to 3 months out (Backlogged Hours)
Projects are delivered according to scope with minimal “scope creep” (Hours Over Budget and Hourly Realization Rate) Goal is within +/- 10% of hour.
The project coordinator is growing in both technical knowledge and project management skill
The project engineers are free to do the work (80% Productivity)
All teams are aware of the status of product from “Shipped” to “Installed”

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, Field of Study: IT or related technical field
Experience:
5 years previous experience in a technical role and / or project management role
Previous resource planning and scheduling experience
Certifications & Licenses:
PMP Preferred but not required
Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
ConnectWise experience, preferred
Scopestack experience, preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to read, comprehend, type, and speak English clearly on the phone
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Ability to type 50+ words per minute
Some lifting of PC and server equipment
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
