IT Manager – Hanwha Asset Management USA
Location: San Francisco, CA (On-site preferred)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Manager to support our growing asset management firm across two offices. The ideal candidate will be based in San Francisco and provide hands-on support, strategic guidance, and cybersecurity collaboration across all departments. This is a high-impact role supporting a dynamic team of finance professionals.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage all IT operations across both San Francisco and New York offices, ensuring optimal uptime and performance.
· Provide direct technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues with minimal disruption.
· Administer and manage cloud services and or company-owned software licenses (e.g., Microsoft 365, Odoo , Zoom, AWS, and VPNs).
· Manage vendors and service providers for hardware procurement, internet/telecom, and cybersecurity services.
· Develop and implement IT policies, best practices, and security protocols to protect firm data and infrastructure.
· Coordinate new hire onboarding/offboarding for all IT systems and hardware.
· Collaborate with leadership to forecast and plan IT budgets, technology upgrades, and scaling initiatives.
· Work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to support cybersecurity efforts, data privacy practices, compliance tools, critical third-party service provider due diligence reviews, annual WISP (written information security policy) attestations, and other compliance-related IT tasks.
· Ensure business continuity through regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and cybersecurity oversight/continuous improvement.
Requirements:
· Minimum 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, support, and systems management.
· Strong knowledge of cloud-based collaboration platforms and enterprise software tools.
· Experience configuring and managing network infrastructure, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
· Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a proactive service-oriented mindset.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support both technical and non-technical staff.
· Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, lean organization.
· Experience with IT compliance standards and documentation is a plus.
· Preferred background in Finance, Asset Management, and Venture Capital.
· Occasional travel to NYC office
