    FINBOA is a fast-growing software company based in Houston Texas. FINBOA provides process and workflow management software to banks and credit unions.

    About this position We're looking to add an IT Operations System Administrator (Systems Administrator) to maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware. This role will act as our Azure Administrator as well as covering Enterprise Information Security Management.

    Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

    Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

    Responsibilities

    Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative

    Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage in the global marketplace

    Enable faster and smarter business processes, and develop analytics for meaningful insights

    Work with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements

    Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly

    Monitor data-center health using existing management tools, and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed

    Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments

    Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed

    Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups

    Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies

    Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies

    Skills/Qualifications

    Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role

    Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management

    Experience and knowledge of SOC2 and PCI compliance management

    Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery

    Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language

    Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms

    Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude

    Excellent communication skills

    BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certification)

    Experience with Microsoft Azure, Intune, Crowd strike, Ninja 1, and Wuzeh

    Experience using Asana for project management or experience with similar software.
