Project Overview:
This project supports the implementation and integration of a new Point of Sale (POS) system for the Milwaukee County Zoo. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle—from planning and execution to delivery—ensuring it meets budget, timeline, and stakeholder expectations. The role also contributes to process improvements within the IT Project Management Office (PMO).
Responsibilities:
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with leadership and stakeholders.
Acquire and coordinate resources including internal teams and third-party vendors.
Ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
Support PMO initiatives and continuous improvement.
Technical Experience Preferred but not required:
POS systems, kiosks, handheld device integration
API and hardware configuration (printers, wireless/cellular/ethernet)
Application integration and website functionality (translations, promo codes, offline mode)
Multi-platform compatibility (iOS, Android, Windows)
Disaster recovery and post-implementation hypercare
Integration with systems like FocusPoint 360 POS system, Gateway Ticketing Systems, Power BI, MS Active Directory
IT security, identity/access management, and Azure services
Change management (e.g., firewall/server upgrades, software patches)
