    Position Description

    QCi is seeking an experienced security engineer to design, implement, configure and monitor

    security tools, technologies and services that protect systems and data from unauthorized

    access. The security engineer will architect, build, manage and maintain mechanisms to

    identify, detect and protect the IT infrastructure from attacker tactics, techniques and

    procedures and investigate alerts to ensure the organization’s systems and information assets

    are protected. The person in this role will work closely with key stakeholders across the

    company to ensure on-time delivery of all components.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    ● Design and implement security systems – Build secure architectures, networks and

    applications to protect organizational assets.

    ● Monitor and respond to threats – Continuously watch for suspicious activity and

    respond to incidents in real time.

    ● Conduct vulnerability assessments – Identify weaknesses through scans, penetration

    testing, and risk analysis including mitigation support

    ● Develop security policies and procedures – Establish best practices, standards, and

    compliance guidelines.

    ● Manage access controls and identity systems – Ensure proper authentication,

    authorization, and least-privilege access.

    ● Collaborate with development and IT teams – Integrate security into software

    development (DevSecOps) and infrastructure.

    ● Stay updated on emerging threats – Research new attack methods, tools, and

    technologies to proactively defend systems

    ● Align Security Controls with Compliance Requirements– Implement security

    controls to support regulatory compliance frameworks (CMMC, SOC, ISO 27001, etc.)

    Required Skills and Experience

    ● 3+ years of experience as a Security Engineer

    ● In-depth knowledge and hands on experience with securing IT Infrastructures

    ● Experience working with multiple security frameworks such as NIST, SOC, & ISO

    ● Proficiency designing, implementing and monitoring secure tools

    ● Experience with remediating threats and vulnerabilities, RCA and reporting

    ● Advanced knowledge of network, system, and web application attacks and mitigations.

    ● Deep understanding of adversary techniques and the signals they generate

    ● Expertise in tools and techniques for analyzing large sets of data

    ● Strong verbal and written communication skills

    ● Experience developing software automation solutions

    ● Identity Management Software

    ● Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Software

    Preferred Qualifications

    ● 5+ years of experience as security engineer

    ● In depth knowledge of NIST 800-171 security controls and associated processes,

    architectures and tooling support.

    ● In depth experience with architecting secure solutions

    ● Proven experience with leading security incident response exercises
