JOB BRIEF:

The Proactive Services Engineer’s role is to ensure a client’s IT environment is stable and secure and to remediate small issues before they turn into large ones. This primarily involves deploying and monitoring patches, backup software, antimalware, and other solutions to maintain and protect a client’s environment. This also involves providing reports on network health and status and addressing alerts that may be indicative of a problem.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Management and/or troubleshooting of the following technologies:

• Windows 10 and Windows Server 2008 and later
• Active Directory and Group Policy
• TCP/IP networking
• Server hardware
• Microsoft Exchange 2013 and later / Exchange Online
• Backup software configuration
• Advanced PowerShell scripting is a plus

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

1+ years as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator

OR

2+ years as a level-1+ helpdesk engineer
