  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    This position will support workforce users, complete hardware/software installations in a Microsoft environment. Will install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair computer hardware/software, printers, and switches. Outstanding customer support is required. ****

    Basic Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide exceptional user/customer support
    • Procure, install, and maintain network and computer hardware and software
    • Manage software licensing
    • Manage user and computer accounts in Microsoft Active Directory
    • Analyze and isolate issues with network, switches, and computers throughout the plant
    • Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users
    • Maintain facility’s individual computers as well as printers
    • Trouble shoot and repair computer issues
    • Manage facility security systems including surveillance and access control systems.
    • Participate in weekly security meetings.
    • Direct contractors on IT related projects

    Work Environment: Heavy Industrial Setting will occasionally work around molten metal in a loud environment.

    Physical Demands: Standing, bending, squatting, work that may involving lifting to 50 lbs.

    Position type and expected outs of work: Full time hours, work schedule is 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, additional hours as needed and schedule subject to change.

    Travel: Some travel may be required.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field experience preferred
    • 2+ years’ experience in an IT Specialist / support role
    • Self-starter / go-getter
    • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (or similar)
    • Must be hands on and prepared to work in a heavy industrial environment, you will get dirty
    • Must have some flexibility in their work schedule to meet department and plant needs. Including after hours support and occasional weekend support
