IT Specialist (4 month Contract) Location: St. Charles, MO. 63304 Compensation: up to $27/hour dependent on experience

Position Summary

Ripple Effect Consulting is seeking an IT Specialist to support the reliability, security, and day-to-day operation of internal IT systems. This role provides hands-on technical support to employees, maintains infrastructure, and partners with IT leadership to support ongoing initiatives and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Provide daily help desk and end-user support for IT-managed systems (CRM, ERP, productivity tools, hardware/software).

Procure, configure, and deploy equipment for new and existing employees; support IT onboarding.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues; manage warranties and repairs.

Support infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, wireless, virtualization, and remote access.

Assist with system upgrades, installations, and maintenance activities.

Maintain IT systems with a strong focus on security, vulnerability remediation, and compliance.

Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.

3+ years of experience in IT or a related technical role.

Strong PC troubleshooting and basic networking knowledge.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and productivity platforms.

Excellent communication skills with a professional phone and virtual presence.

Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+.

Work Environment

Primarily office-based with occasional exposure to plant environments.

Limited travel (<10%).

Occasional exposure to noise and machinery.
