    About NSSA: The National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA), established in 1928, is a non-profit organization governed by its members. In 1989, the National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) was created as a division of the NSSA. With approximately 15,000 members and 700 affiliated member clubs, it is the largest organization in the world dedicated solely to the sport of clay target shotgun shooting. The NSSA/NSCA are dedicated to the development of the sport at all levels of participation and vows to create an atmosphere of healthy competition and meaningful fellowship within its membership. Shooters who want to compete can enter fun shoots, skeet shooting tournaments, and sporting clays tournaments. The NSSA/NSCA also offers the hunter a recreational target shooting sport that will strengthen hunting and gun safety skills and extend “hunting” seasons.

    The Opportunity: This opportunity supports the NSSA/NSCA organization as it optimizes, modernizes, and sustains the IT infrastructure and applications required to support the 15,000 members. We are looking for a dedicated IT Support Specialist to ensure the smooth running of our systems, processes, and data so that the IT operating environment meets the needs of the organization. The IT Support Specialist will be essential to the core foundational capabilities of the NSSA/NSCA, working as part of the existing IT team to advance and mature the organization’s systems, hardware, applications, and databases. They will partner with the NSSA-NSCA Operations Director to execute daily IT operations including infrastructure, applications, and incident management. They will provide expertise in the IT space regarding any systems, processes, or resources needed to accomplish the organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical expertise and interpersonal customer service skills and be passionate about technology and helping people.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues (both in person and virtually as necessary) to end users and NSSA/NSCA team members as needed including but not limited to: application installations, maintenance of computer hardware, databases, printers, and networks.

    · Coach end users to adhere to the ticketing management system and processes to ensure appropriate time management of the IT teams’ troubleshooting efforts as well as documentation and clarity of tickets and issues.

    · Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software to support user accounts, configuration of accounts, and configuration of systems as needed.

    · Diagnose and resolve technical problems, such as email issues or computer malfunctions.

    · Carry out regular maintenance and updates of computer systems to improve efficiency.

    · Document IT support issues and their resolutions for future reference. Maintain accurate records of IT activities, including incident reports, process playbooks (standard operating procedures) and overall system documentation.

    · Implement IT policies and procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized access.

    · Communication: Establish good relationships with colleagues to ensure clear communication and understanding of IT-related issues, risks, or updates.

    · Support testing and quality assurance/validation of new functionality or systems as they are rolled out to ensure they meet the organizational needs.

    Qualifications

    · Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    · Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT with a focus on infrastructure (network management, router/firewall administration, and other foundational hardware components)

    · Experience with Windows OS, cloud computing, and SaaS based delivery models

    · Proficient in Microsoft (Teams, SharePoint, Office)

    · Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    · Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

    · Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

    · Proactive and self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
