Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees, ensuring that all IT systems function effectively and efficiently. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with network connectivity, and provide training on new technologies and systems. Your technical expertise and customer service skills will play a crucial role in maintaining a productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems via phone, email, and in-person support.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications, ensuring they are up to date.
- Assist in the setup and deployment of new hardware and software within the organization.
- Monitor and maintain IT assets inventory, including laptops, desktops, printers, and servers.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates on systems to ensure security and functionality.
- Document technical procedures and support interactions in a user-friendly format.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to improve systems and processes.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on the use of IT resources and applications.
- Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and implementations as needed.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance support services.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role (1-3 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and application software.
- Understanding of network protocols and configurations (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Skills:
- CompTIA A+ Certification or similar IT certifications.
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, or cloud services like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
