IT System Administrator
DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is hiring an IT Systems Administrator to join our IT team and support our growing organization!
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for day-to-day security, management, configuration, monitoring, and support of IT solutions including local and cloud servers, web applications, the local network and all connected devices. This position will also work with the Director of IT to research and make recommendations regarding IT repair, equipment replacement and new solutions implementation. This position reports to the IT Director.
This is a primarily onsite position anticipated to work 5 days a week. Flexible scheduling is available.
Wage: $80,000-95,000 annually depending on experience, certifications, and education.
Who we are looking for:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft systems, OS and software including Windows Server, MS O365, Azure AD, Active Directory, Exchange, DNS
Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
Experience with scripting and automation tools
Experience with Mac and Linux OS
A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing IT operations best practices, including strong knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow systematic procedures, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a complex environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Learns quickly when facing new problems; a relentless and versatile learner; open to change
Picks up on technical things quickly and is good at learning new products or technical knowledge
