JOB OVERVIEW:
Responsible for installation and maintenance of all desktop equipment including peripherals. Assists with networking and user access to email and folders through MS Active Directory. Troubleshoots desktop hardware and software to include network issues. Coordinates heavily with Network Engineer. Assists users with technology-related questions and problems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
All JABA locations, to include Albemarle, Louisa, Greene, Fluvanna, Nelson
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a part-time position, Monday-Friday, average 20-25 hours/week. Schedule may vary. Occasional additional hours and evening/weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL
Area travel to various worksites is required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Install and troubleshoot networked and stand-alone PCs and printers
2. Set up user email and folder access
3. Install and troubleshoot all desktop software
4. Follow established procedures for software and hardware inventory and licensing tracking
5. Analyze implementation of new software to the current processes
6. Document new processes and standards
7. Monitor and prioritize requests in ticketing system
8. Coordinate upgrades of desktop equipment and software
9. Proactively inform manager of relevant IT concerns.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Analyze desktop hardware and software processes for efficiency and needs
2. Continued analysis of desktop standards for current appropriateness
3. Analysis of implementation of new software to the current processes
4. Follow, support, and enforce all internal control processes and procedures
5. Provide excellent customer service by answering employees' questions, responding to requests for information, and assisting employees with understanding IT procedures.
