We are focused on providing our diverse clients with innovative solutions including technical analysis and development. We are looking to bring on an integral team member to provide support for an existing project. You will function as an IT Test Engineer Analyst in Washington, DC. This is an remote role, thought meetings and hybrid future role may require onsite availability.

    Role Description

    The Department's Test Center was established, with the charter, to verify that all software releases being installed into the HUD production environment, have been tested and verified to function and install properly and do not adversely impact production operations. The number of software releases and the amount of testing necessary to do a complete verification has increased. The Test Engineer will support HUD Test Center test activities. The task is to provide general Test Center support for test activities as well as configuration management, and performance/stress testing support. The Test Engineer will assist in the necessary release testing, including installation, connectivity, performance/stress testing, and implementation of CM practices required of all HUD application releases. *Note - this may be a short-term or extended term position depending on team needs and resourcing.

    Responsibilities**

    • Test Center Support and Documentation
    • Provide technical support to HUD personnel as required to perform TC activities.
    • Provide daily operational support to the TC for test activity configuration, execution, and administration and configuration management of releases.
    • Identify automated test tools to be used to support the TC as applicable.
    • Perform installation, connectivity and environmental testing. In addition, assist the developers in functional testing of applications in the Test Center as applicable.
    • Analyzing and documenting test results in the Release Tracking system.
    • Prepare Release Test Report for delivery to HUD as applicable.
    • Prepare Test Coordinator Procedures for use during testing as applicable.
    • Participate in periodic update of existing TC Procedures and Policies.
    • Develop new TC procedures as required.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills and Experience

    • Five years' experience in testing includes WEB, Client/Server or LAN testing.
    • Experience in Window 10 and 11, or UNIX (Sun).
    • Experience in LoadRunner performance/stress testing tool.
    • Experience in writing and implementing test procedures.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Active Public Trust Clearance (or eligibility)
    • US Citizen
    • Ability to commute onsite to downtown Washington, DC on a periodic basis as needed
    • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor your messaging to technical and non-technical audiences
    • Proficient to handle multi-tasking and ability to prioritize (teams) tasks independently based on Organizations priorities
    • Detail-oriented
    • Good with people

    Other Qualifications:

    • Advanced training in one or more of the following: WEB Applications Development/Test; Client/Server Development/Test; and/or LAN Application Development/Test.
    • Experience working in an Operations and Maintenance Environment.
    • Prior experience working at HUD or other US Government Agencies.
