    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This developer role is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the web-based infrastructure and services. This includes oversight of our web servers, cloud-based platforms, internal and external websites, and integration systems to ensure optimal performance, uptime, and user experience.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Administer and maintain web-based infrastructure, including web servers, content management systems (CMS), and DNS.
    • Provide support for web application deployments, ensuring seamless integration across internal systems and external platforms including Shopify and Sage X3.
    • Monitor website performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement resolutions to maintain high availability and security.
    • Manage web security protocols and implement measures to protect against cyber threats (e.g., 55L, firewalls, security patches).
    • Collaborate with vendors and development teams to support custom applications, APIs, and third-party integrations,
    • Maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
    • Coordinate with internal teams to manage content updates and ensure brand consistency across web properties.
    • Assist in evaluating and recommending new web technologies and digital tools to enhance business operations.

    TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    • Web Infrastructure & Networking: Manage and configure web servers, DNS, SSL, domain settings, and CDN technologies.
    • Security & Compliance: Implement web security protocols; respond to cyber threats (DDoS, XSS, SQLi); familiarity with compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
    • Scripting & Automation: Automate deployments, patches, and system maintenance with PowerShell, Bash, SSIS, and Python.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in web infrastructure or systems administration.
    • Experienced with e-commerce platforms (Shopify is a plus but not required). OR Experience with ERP systems (Sage X3 is a plus but not required).  
    • Proficient in networking (DNS, SSL, HTTP/S, CDN).
    • Familiar with scripting (PowerShell, Bash), automation tools, and CI/CD practices.
    • Experienced with CMS platforms (i.e. WordPress, Drupal, AEM), website performance tools (i.e. Google Lighthouse, GTmetrix), and monitoring tools (i.e. Nagios, Datadog).  Willing to train on tools but some knowledge is required.
    • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, SEO, and accessibility standards.
