Quantum Technology Group, LLC, QTG is seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT & Information Security Administrator to serve as the internal technical and security lead for a small federal IT services firm. The candidate will be responsible for IT operations stability, boundary security enforcement, ISO 9001 / 20000 / 27001 sustainment, CMMC Level 1 maintenance, and advancement toward CMMC Level 2. This role also requires responsible use of AI tools to enhance documentation efficiency, compliance reporting, and operational intelligence.

This is a hands-on internal IT/security leadership position supporting a Microsoft 365 environment with federal compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra, Intune, firewall (FortiGate), endpoint protection, VPN, and network infrastructure
• Maintain boundary protection, MFA enforcement, patch management, encryption controls, and incident response documentation
• Sustain ISO 9001, ISO 20000, ISO 27001, and CMMC Level 1 control environments: support CMMC Level 2 readiness
• Maintain audit-ready evidence, POA&M tracking, configuration baselines, and risk documentation
• Use AI tools to accelerate documentation, analyze technical trends, automate reporting, and convert operational data into executive-level insights

Qualifications:

Required:

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience : 5–8 years IT systems administration experience, including 3+ years security-focused responsibilities
• Skills :
  • Strong Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra, and Intune administration
  • Firewall and VPN administration (FortiGate preferred)
  • Cisco / Meraki networking experience
  • Endpoint protection management
  • Experience supporting remote workforce environments
    • Cloud Knowledge: Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 security architecture; experience in GCC or GCC High environments preferred
    • Documentation: Strong documentation discipline and ability to maintain audit-ready technical evidence

• Federal or regulated cloud environments
• Planning or supporting transition to GCC High
