    Job Description

    The ideal candidate will be an innovative, independent, and motivated individual that will help grow the existing ServiceNow development team’s abilities.  We are looking for an encouraging team player that is passionate about ServiceNow development and has a knack for producing an excellent customer experience and designing highly supportable solutions.

     

    In this role you will have the following skills and responsibilities:

    • Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow components such as Incident, Change and Service Catalog Management.
    • Strong working knowledge of scoped application development.
    • Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow Best Practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ServiceNow features.
    • Ability to share and communicate coding excellence and quality into the team and culture.
    • A passion to learn new technologies and skills.
    • A strong ability to work independently and in small groups of developers.
    • Strong and personable communication skills to work with customers to identify and formulate solution scope and objectives.
    • Strong writing/documentation skills to design, code, test, debug, and document the automated services.
    • Independently performs ongoing maintenance, research, problem resolution, and support tasks.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • 4 years’ experience with ServiceNow configuration and development
    • 2 years’ experience with application development
    • ServiceNow
      • JavaScript
      • SOAP / REST
      • UI/UX design
      • AngularJS
      • HTML
      • Bootstrap
      • JSON

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • ITIL knowledge/certification
    • Agile experience

     

     

     

    The successful candidate must be a highly-motivated, self-starter who is comfortable working as part of a team (in any capacity) or as an independent contributor.  The candidate must demonstrate a strong customer focus and excellent written and verbal communications skills.  A desire to continuously improve technical skills and identify opportunities where development tools meeting ORNL Standards may be used in place of non-standard tools is expected.

     

    The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree, with a minimum of five years professional computing experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
