INTERNSHIP PROGRAM OVERVIEW

OUR CAMPUS INCLUDES A FITNESS CENTER AT NO COST TO THE EMPLOYEES, CAFETERIA, OUTDOOR VOLLEYBALL COURTS, WALKING TRAILS AROUND THE FACILITY, EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUPS, CORPORATE DISCOUNTS, DRY CLEANING SERVICES, COVERED/OUTDOOR PARKING, AND MUCH MORE. WE ARE ONE BLOCK WALK TO THE NEAREST METRA STATION, AND IT IS A QUICK 20-MINUTE TRAIN RIDE TO DOWNTOWN CHICAGO, MUSEUMS, LAKEFRONT, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Trade Compliance internship role provides students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment, and to promote the student’s career goals through contact with professionals in their field of study, enhancement of his/her trade knowledge and development of his/her professional skillset. The internship experience enables students to participate in professional activities for Illinois Tool Works, Inc. by working on projects for the Corporate Trade Compliance team hand-in-hand with our full-time trade professionals. The internship allows students to integrate knowledge and skills in a manner that is mutually beneficial to the student and Illinois Tool Works, Inc.
The internship position is for the Summer of 2022 and will require 40 hours per week with flexibility of start and end dates in Summer 2022.The internship position is for our Corporate Headquarters in Glenview, IL; however, due to COVID-19 work safety guidelines, this internship may be remote for a portion of the internship term.
