    Job Description

    Position Summary:

    As part of the ITW Residential & Renovation Human Resources team, the Human Resources Intern , will combine their education with practical HR experience in core HR areas such as employee relations, employee engagement, recruitment & onboarding, and performance management. Assignments may include projects on recruiting, creating training presentations and employee communications.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Assist with onboarding of new employees, providing the necessary paperwork, entering data within the company’s HRIS system, and communicating with employees
    • Support employee engagement initiatives across the division
    • Provide basic support for HR inquiries, forwarding complex questions to the appropriate party
    • Research recruiting best practices, including social media and diversity strategies
    • Participate in the recruitment process of candidates for a variety of job functions
    • Support training and development related activities and human resources projects, as needed
    • Assist in a variety of HR projects
    • Additional duties & projects may be assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Job Requirements:

    • Rising Junior (graduating 2026) currently pursuing a degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field
    • Previous internship experience in an HR or Talent function, preferred
    • Competent working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Strong attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills
    • Eagerness to learn, demonstrated curiosity and a drive to excel
    • Passion for developing emerging talent
    • Ability to travel up to 20% to our other local facilities (Elgin,IL and Bartlett, IL)

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, climate variances and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment (office) is usually low, but much higher when exposed to the manufacturing areas.
