    ITW Global Tire Repair is hiring a full-time Associate HR Generalist. This position is an integral part of the San Luis Obispo Human Resources team, supporting the growth of the business through our people. This role will have exposure to and cross functional duties with all departments of the SLO location.  They are involved in all phases of the employee life cycle activities such as recruitment, hiring, compensation administration, benefit administration, new hire orientation, related safety and worker’s compensation administration, employee data maintenance, support, and general routine reporting.

    THE 80:

    -        Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. 

    -        Coordinates with Human Resources Manager and management to assist in employee relations issues, the recruiting process, and talent management processes.

    -        Effectively supports the payroll systems (Dayforce).

    -        Provides support to the Corporate Human Resources team in relation to employee benefit administration, compensation administration, and HRIS system maintenance.

    -        Involved in the coordination and performance of employee training in topics including New Hire orientation, performance management, safety, harassment, ITW Principles of Conduct, and ITW business policy guidelines. 

     

    THE 20:

    -        Responds to inquiries regarding benefit programs and educates and supports employees in the use of the self-service applications available to them.

    -        Prepares employee communication documents including new hire, disability, benefit, separation notices and related documentation.  Assists in the dissemination and collection of data and forms.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    -        Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience.

    -        Minimum one year of experience in human resources including knowledge of recruitment process, benefit and compensation administration and practices, employee relations, and legal compliance requirements.

    -        Strong written/verbal communication skills; demonstrates good listening skills; able to communicate status on process

    -        Independent and organized work style; effectively manage time and prioritize workload, assume and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. 

    -        Ability to make independent decisions and regularly suggest ways to improve services and process.

    -        Strong technical skills/aptitude; proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, and Excel).

    -        Ability to use good judgment and description with highly confidential business and employee information.

    Additional Information

    KEY DELIVERABLES TO DEMONSTRATE SUCCESS IN 12 MONTHS:

    -        Demonstrates a functional understanding of human resources operations policies, processes, and legal requirements and the related implications for the SLO facility.

    -        Actively involved in the recruiting process for SLO positions; posting, interviews, and hiring decisions.

    -        Owns and accurately performs the full US payroll process.

    -        Effectively supports HRIS systems management and data accuracy.

    -        Is a trusted HR partner for the SLO facility, visibly exemplifying the values of ITW daily (Integrity, Respect, Trust,  Shared Risk, and Simplicity).
