    Job Description

    We are seeing a DEVOPS ENGINEERING INTERN to join our Ft. Lauderdale based team for the summer of 2021.

    The DEVOPS ENGINEERING INTERN for Alpine will develop continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for packaging and deploying capabilities of Alpine’s new micro-services architecture, leveraging Azure DevOps and containerization technology. The new CI/CD pipeline will contribute towards Alpine’s modernization efforts and improve operational efficiency of the development teams working on web applications and micro-services.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Gain an understanding of Alpine’s new platform and technical strategy including our micro-services API architecture
    • Develop continuous integration/deployment pipelines for our business capabilities (in the form of micro-services APIs) and UIs leveraging Azure DevOps, containerization, and other technologies as needed
    • Share key learnings and implementation/approach with the team

     EXPECTED LEARNINGS:

    • Understanding of Alpine’s new platform and technical strategy including the design and ongoing development of a micro-service API architecture
    • Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps practices and technologies used towards creation of the CI/CD pipelines including Azure DevOps and containerization technology
    • Agile Development process and Scrum framework

     JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science or Information Technology related field.
    • Experience managing and configuring build pipelines and CI/CD using platforms such as Azure DevOps
    • Experience provisioning and administering cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google
    • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
    • Experience in C# or any other Object-Oriented Programming language
    • Experience in Batch/PowerShell scripting

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this position, within typical manufacturing plant working conditions.  While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, climate variances and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a manufacturing environment.  The noise level in the work environment (office) is usually low, but much higher when exposed to the manufacturing areas.  Certain personal protective equipment is required when in the manufacturing areas.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
