Job Description

Support of the following engineering functions: mechanical, manufacturing, and electrical. Exposure to and project participation in many functional areas. Expand and enhance basic knowledge in conjunction with academic subjects of study. Interact with supervisors, project leaders, engineers, technicians, and those with skilled trades on a daily basis.        

• Providing daily technical support in a fast paced, high volume molding environment involving close tolerance parts 
•  Troubleshooting plastics processes, performing root cause analyses and completing corrective action
• Preparing experimental plans, executing tests or trials, and presenting data and results to other team members and management
• Creating or updating standard operating procedures
• Working collaboratively with Engineering, Tool Shop, Production and other functional area team members to complete various improvement projects
• Must be computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office:  Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook

Qualifications

• Rising Senior pursuing, a Manufacturing Engineering degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft office
• Basic CAD modeling experience with Solid Works, a plus
• Good Communication skills both written and oral
• Must be hands on
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
• Good general understanding of plastic materials, injection mold tooling, and plastic part design is a plus
