** Core Responsibilities** :

• Research to identify world class suppliers for the different product lines to be sourced. (Stamped components, thermoset molding and plating)
  • Gain knowledge of best practices for vendor management and apply them to new and existing suppliers.
  • Willingness to work across multiple departments to collect data/information on supplier performance.
• Identify sourcing opportunities to drive savings and cost avoidance via spend analysis, stakeholder interviews, improving on time delivery and quality improvements.
• Quantify the benefits of sourcing initiatives including the expected savings and baseline spend.
• Influencing key stakeholders on strategy initiatives.
• Partner across the organization to improve financial results related to sourcing activities.
• Utilize project management skills to create a timeline, set milestones, measure progress, and report findings to team.
• Work as part of a cross-functional team that includes members from other Corporate ITW teams such as Spend Management and Trade Compliance.

** Expected Intern Learning** :

• Gain critical exposure to sourcing objectives.
• Project participation in many functional areas.
• Develop basic understanding of assigned commodities: current market conditions, key cost drivers, global supply base, and industry terminology, as it relates to creating competitive purchasing programs for ITW companies.

Qualifications

** Job Requirements** :

• Rising Senior pursuing a Supply Chain Management or Business degree.

• Competent working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Strong attention to detail, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Eagerness to learn, demonstrated curiosity and a drive to excel.

• Must enjoy being hands on.

• Ability to travel for supplier visits.
