  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Create appropriate QMS oversight practices to monitor parts and processes for conformance to customer and M&C standards
    • Perform periodic review of quality monitoring results to identify potential improvements to the QMS or quality standards
    • Provide prompt and comprehensive actions to resolve any non-conformances or OFIs identified related to production parts and processes including stopping production or shipment of parts for quality or safety concerns
    • Understand customer needs and requirements to maintain an effective and efficient quality management system
    • Coordinate QMS and customer audits and develop/manage corrective actions resulting from audits
    • Author and execute process validations
    • Author Control Plans, PFMEAs, FMEAs, R&R reports, IMDS entries, and PPAPs
    • Investigate and facilitate the resolution of customer complaints utilizing root cause analysis, CAPA, and 8D processes
    • Evaluate potential sales opportunities for quality, regulatory and processing implications; prepare customer-facing presentations; and interact directly with customer during customer reviews and audits
    • Provide oversight for material supplier assessments
    • Research and develop a working knowledge of customer and industry regulatory compliance requirements including RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Prop65
    • Communicate quality system compliance risk by writing, reviewing and executing documents and procedures; participate in investigations or for-cause supplier site-audits; and act as the quality subject matter expert on cross-functional project teams
    • Conduct Internal QMS training and associated internal quality audit management 
    • Manage the quality team

    • Ability to ensure adherence to M&C’s quality standards and cGMP
    • Results-oriented, continuous improvement-focused, team player who can collaborate well with all levels of the business to achieve win-win outcomes
    • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills who can gain the trust, respect, and credibility of individuals at all levels within the business as well as customers and suppliers.
    • Core tools knowledge and experience (APQP, SPC, MSA, PPAP, FMEA)
    • Excellent analysis, planning, and implementation skills
    • Strong experience with documentation and technical writing
    • Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office)
    • Ability to read 2D and 3D drawings and specifications
    • A demonstrated initiative to advancing education of quality standards
    • Experience with Minitab is a plus
    • Quality auditor certification preferred
    • Exposure to Six Sigma Process Excellence tools and / or Lean Manufacturing along with ability to identify trends
    • Commitment to safety and supporting an accident-free workplace

    EDUCATION AND/OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control or assurance role in manufacturing environment
    • Experience with and solid understanding of national/international QMS standards such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485 and IATF 16949
    • Broad experience with quality systems, including but not limited to validation, non-conformance, CAPA systems and investigations, laboratory controls, and production and process controls
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading a quality function
