Job Description

The Associate Project Leader works with Project Managers on various development projects to bring ideas to major retailers such as Walmart, AutoZone and Amazon. This dynamic position solves customer pain-points related to tire repair by developing products for automotive, off-road, and agricultural markets under the Slime, Fix-a-Flat, and Genuine Innovations brands. The position will work with and gain exposure to all facets of the business; Product Management, Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Sales.

Responsibilities:

• Support and execute product testing, including validation testing, competitive product assessment and QA test support
• Foster and own vendor relationships
• Manage Engineering Changes (ECR Process) to products and support Project Managers on the NPD process, including the creation of collateral materials & point-of-purchase, product launch displays, etc.
• Support product issues (QA/manufacturing/customer), and support the execution of value add/value engineering opportunities
• Support in the creation of mock-ups and prototypes
• Work with marketing to build product packaging new products - managing artwork development, product packaging (unit level, IC, MC), and distribution networks.
• Support finished good compliance – including that of label/package and customer required (WERCs, Smarter Sourcing, etc.)
• Maintain ERP Systems – PIM systems, Item setup, branch plant setup, UOM/weights & dims, BOM, etc.
• Support project leaders in the creation of finished good spec sheets, Package specification, work instructions, and BOMs

Qualifications

• 0-2 Years of experience and a 4-year technical degree required
• Demonstrated ability to work with the following programs
  • MS suite
  • CAD is a Plus
• Creativity must be a personal strength, exhibit willingness to be imaginative and push standard new product development thinking.
• Understanding of innovation process and new product development principles
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills with ability to effectively interact and present to multiple levels of organization
• Strong analytical and insight skills
• Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Customer focused with an ability to objectively assess trends and opportunities to fit with customers’ needs
• Working knowledge of basic financial principles
