    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Associate Project Manager is a part of the New Product Development team and focuses on supporting and driving opportunities in the strategic market segment of Inflators and Repair Kits.  You will be led by our Project Manager to understand, support, and develop current and new product lines.  In addition, you will work cross functional and gain exposure to various other functions within the organization such as other Project Managers, Brand, Marketing, Quality, and Supply Chain.

    THE 80:

    -        Support and Lead- Inflator and Repair Kits product life cycle and key aspects of category success through the ITW Project Management Process.

    -        Work with key aspects of the product line and business success tools to support category management- to included but not limited to research, testing, competitive review, analysis, reporting, design implementation, supplier development

    -        Conduct and manage retail product testing on inflators and repair kits

    -        Conduct competitive testing, review, and reporting

    -        Support Customer Back Innovation, development, and growth

    -        Support in product process and implementation

    THE 20:

    -        Support market research objectives in Inflators and Repair Kits with a drive to best in class performance and innovation.

    -        Market awareness and understanding of competition on all facets of Inflators and Repair Kits

    -        Support development, design, and testing on “20” product accessories as requested

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    -        Demonstrated ability to work with the following programs

    o   MS suite

    o   SPC for Excel

    o   Solidworks

    o   JDE, Sequel, Board

    -        Strong mechanical aptitude

    -        Entry level understanding of consumer behavior and work in a team to develop the ability to translate information into new product ideas as well as competitive review and analysis

    -        Clear understanding of innovation process and new product development principles

    -        Excellent written and verbal communications skills with ability to effectively interact and present to multiple levels of organization

    -        Analytical and insight skills

    -        Able to work within cross-functional teams

    -        Identifying and leverage variety of tools to identify, build up, and assess new product

    -        Understand and have strong understanding of the value of process and procedures with a high skill level to the detail

    -        Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and work in high pace environment

    Working knowledge of basic financial principles

    Additional Information

    KEY DELIVERABLES TO DEMONSTRATE SUCCESS IN 12 MONTHS:

    -        Achieve On-Boarding High-Level Understanding Level Ranking

    -        Inflator and Repair Kit active role in Development & Maintenance

    o   Participate in development process –

    o   Conduct QPS for Inflators and Repair Kits

    o   Perform product implementation thru JDE and reporting thru Sequel and Board

    o   Support new product opportunities thru managing spec and timelines

    -        Retail testing for Inflators and Repair Kits

    o   Specification creation – interfacing with corresponding PM

    o   Testing/review of prototypes

    o   Troubleshooting QA/QC issues

    o   Development of testing fixtures

    o   Utilize internal knowledge to develop test criteria for new parallel product categories

    -        Participate in 80/20 and FTB projects
