Job Description

The SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT INTERN for Alpine, and ITW Company, will help modernize data output routines and data repositories for Alpine’s iPanel software product, specifically related to customer reporting. New, modern reports will be developed for Alpine’s iPanel customers using the new routines and data repositories.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design an improved mechanism and structure for centralizing and accessing specific data elements or groups of elements related to reporting requirements
•  Analysis of existing iPanel data output routines, data persistence and access methods, and reports
• Develop a prototype to illustrate the data output, centralization, and reporting methods
• Share key learnings and implementation/approach with the Software Development Team

EXPECTED LEARNINGS:

• High-level product capabilities of the iPanel software and existing reporting mechanism 
• Understanding of the existing data output, persistence and access methods used by the iPanel reports 
• Development of a new design and prototype for data output, centralization, and
• Agile Development process and Scrum framework

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science or Information Technology related field.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java and database technologies such as SQL Server and Cosmos.
