    Job Description

    Illinois Tool Works (ITW) is a Fortune 200 company that produces diversified products in global markets. Some of its products include welding equipment, automotive components, construction materials and commercial food equipment. The Food Equipment Group is one of seven ITW decentralized business segments. We are seeking an Accounting Manager for the Warewash Division located in Troy, Ohio, approximately 20 minutes north of downtown Dayton. This position works in-office at the Warewash manufacturing facility.

    The Warewash Division is seeking to expand its growth in existing served markets as well as new markets. We produce Hobart branded commercial dishwashers that are used in airports, cruise ships, industrial and government operations, and beyond. We are in search of an Accounting Manager responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements; corporate reporting and can ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and ITW corporate policies. This position reports to the Plant Manager, as a member of the site leadership team, with dotted line responsibility to the Division Controller.

    Summary:

    The successful candidate will provide financial data to support the Warewash plant business. The individual will have general responsibility for preparing the monthly and annual financial reporting packages, planning, and coordinating monthly closing schedules with appropriate functional groups, planning, and overseeing the physical inventory, ensuring compliance with required accounting policies and procedures, actively participate in capital asset process, and will interface with internal and outside auditors as needed.

    What you will do:

    • Participate in Long Range Planning and Annual Plan preparation
    • Provide analysis to support such plans and assist with the ongoing budgeting/outlook
    • Ensure all financial information is recorded accurately
    • Conduct financial outlooks and communicate impacts to plant operations and division leadership
    • Identify if objectives are in jeopardy and adjust when changes to plan occur
    • Work closely with the Plant Manager and Division Controller to provide strategic guidance to improve the financials of the operation
    • Collaborate on accounting activities with other locations and central office
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    What we are looking for:

    • Ability to work independently and with cross functional teams
    • Analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data
    • Advanced knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principals
    • Knowledge of federal, state and country financial regulations
    • Excel proficiency
    • Proficiency using financial accounting software applications
    • Knowledge of GAAP

    Education and experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting
    • 6+ years of relevant experience
    • Experience developing financial outlooks and forecasts
    • Experience using ACCESS and ERP systems
    • CPA license preferred
    • Experience working in a Manufacturing setting preferred
