Job Description

The SALES ANALYST INTERN position at ITW Specialty Films Division is a dynamic role for rising juniors and seniors interested in sales and marketing. In this position you will have the opportunity to spearhead projects that directly impact the business and actively learn about strategic sales in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial workplace. Expansive networking opportunities are available through ITW’s engaging and exciting Internship Program & various Employee Resource Groups.  This position will be based out of ITW Headquarters in Glenview, IL.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:

• Monitoring and analyzing competitive activity, customer, and market trends.
• Providing actionable insights to guide the sales and/or marketing teams.
• Contributing to the development of sales plans and objectives.
• Forecasting demand, revenue, and expenses.
• Determining sales potential and making recommendations.
• Assisting in highly visible projects with direct impact to current processes and procedures to be used by the company long term
• Collaborating with account managers/salespeople to analyze and provide recommendations on customer data.
• Integrating customer insights with data collected to provide full picture of business.
• Projects for this internship role may include:
• Building a sales analysis dashboard tool using Power BI to create, maintain, and troubleshoot dashboards.
• ­Analyzing data regarding sales performance, activity, and company trends to present to management and customers during quarterly business review.
• ­Presenting findings and suggestions to senior leadership

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Rising junior or senior enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program or a recent graduate.  This internship is open to students majoring in Business, Statistics, Analytics or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience in data analysis, preferably using Power BI
• Professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
