    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Through this role, the individual will have the opportunity to participate in and lead projects in the Charlotte, NC manufacturing facility. Specifically focusing on the improvement of manufacturing processes, safety initiatives, and overall product quality. 

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist with new product launches
      • Line set-up and optimization (in-lining)
      • Process documentation (SOP’s and JSA’s)
      • Operator training
    • Plant layout optimization
    • Production line optimization
    • Safety
      • Present OSHA Safety trainings
      • Understand and make improvements on safety within Charlotte facility
    • Improve process flows
    • Drawing updates as needed

    EXPECTED LEARNINGS:

    • Production start-up and efficient operation – (In-lining and metrics – data driven decisions)
    • OHSA requirements and best practices for safe working environments
    • Technical writing and documentation

     JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Preferred Degree: Mechanical/Industrial Engineering but open to other engineering degrees
    • Rising Senior
    • Proficiency with Microsoft office products: PowerPoint, Word, Excel
    • Ability to work with wide variety of people and educational backgrounds
    • CAD software experience a plus

    This role is in a professional environment with a 50/50 split between manufacturing plant floor and office desk.  The individual will work with operators, maintenance, supervisors, and engineers to learn and research the process issues and solutions. This collaborative environment has many positive, good natured team members that are eager to work with and train others. The intern projects at CCNA are typically a part of the company’s key initiatives with a good deal of notoriety, publicity, and impact to the overall company.  Interns are respected contributors and are given the opportunity to better themselves and the company.
